Taxidermy: Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials!!
Started By
Hey Alacrites :)
I've gotten permission from an admin to create this awesome thread for anybody here that likes performing taxidermy, cleaning bones, preserving specimens, collecting feathers, bones, skulls, bugs, etc.. or even just people who like the art of taxidermy! :)
There are a few rules that I must point out before we get into this whole shin-dig:
- Do not get into graphic, gorey, gruesome details
Talking about skinning an animal, your process of doing so, your method of cleaning bones (like gross, smelly maceration) is fine, but do not get into details about guts and blood.
- Do not insult others' skill level, their work, or their method of doing things
Everybody starts out somewhere and we need each other to learn and grow in the art.
- If you dislike taxidermy, please avoid posting negative posts here. It is not necessary

Anywho, if you want to know how to do something, want some tips on how to do something, would like some reference photos, some guides on how to start off on the right foot, would like to know where you can buy supplies, would like any bones, skulls, feathers, pelts, etc identified.. or would just like to show off your work, etc etc please post here!

http://www.fntpost.com/ is a good site for taxidermy supplies.
